A Little Girls Answered Prayers

We had some terriffic news from Malynda's doctor. Malynda broke her elbow on June 26. She had surgery June 28 with 3 pins. She went in for her 2 week check up on July 11 and the doctor was surprised on how well her arm was healing. He honestly thought that she was going to have to wear a cast for 6-8 weeks. He suprised us and told us that she could have her pins taken out the following Friday as long as she kept her arm safe and did her exercizes.
We took her this past Friday July 18 (3 weeks after the break) and the doctor did another x-ray and said that she was ready to have her pins taken out. Malynda was really worried that it would hurt so both Keith and I stayed with her. I held her and Keith talked to her and when the doctor took out the pins Malynda said that it didn't hurt at all. It was uncomfortable and she had to take a break after the 2nd one came out. She thought she was going to throw up but did very well.
She had to wear a gauze around her elbow (no sling) after she left the doctor and today was her first day with just a bandage. The doctor suprised her and told her as soon as her scabs fall off, she can go SWIMMING!!! She might have a summer after all. When we were leaving the doctor's office she yelled out "I LOVE JESUS CHRIST. THANK YOU JESUS FOR HEALING MY ARM!!!"
Thank you so much for your prayers. I do have a testimony of the priesthood and of prayers. Thanks again. I love you all and miss you very much.

4th of July on the 5th!!

We let the kids play in the park after they got their faces painted. THe town had a lot of fun activities for everyone.

We entered a Bicylce race where we had to ride tiny bikes (yes even for me) that they modified, 2 laps and then our partners had to race. We took 2nd place. I only ran into the hay twice. Malynda couldn't participate but they had her start the races. We also babysat that day as well.

Parade Bonanza!!

These pictures are from the local parade. The kids got to be in the parade. Keith drove his dad's convertible with Blake and the Missionaries, Malynda rode with her poppy in the fire truck, and Ella got to ride with her Grammy and throw candy.

The kids are getting ready to Party on the 4th. I think Malynda looks like me when I was her age in this picture.

We went to a few parades. In he Essex parade a lot of our friends and the kids grandfather was in. He was driving the firetruck.

Malynda's 8th Birthday Party

Blake's Kindergarten Graduation

Blake graduated 6-20-08. He is part of the class of 2020. The class sang some fun songs and each had a part in their program. Blake talked about lunches. It was really cute and he had a good time. Keith kept making faces at him so he wouldn't be so serious. The boy next to him is one of the kids I babysit.

The Surgery

Thank you for your prayers. Malynda's surgery went really well. It was her humerous bone that broke. It was disattached. The doctor put in 3 pins just to secure it. She is going back for a checkup on July 11. If everything goes well, the pins will be removed probably at 4 weeks. The doctor closed the gap where it fractured. He said taht Malynda did really well. She started waking up near the end of the surgery so the doctor gave her a shot to put her back into a deeper sleep. It took her a little while to wake up. She felt a little discomfort but felt a lot better.

Recovering

Here is Malynda before she broke her arm. Here are a few pictures of her in her splint then cast.
